Louisiana schools continue with football action

Football teams in Louisiana have rid themselves of first-week jitters and are ready to hit the field again this week for the second week of the regular season.
Home games
Vidalia (0-1) will host Delhi High at 7 p.m. Friday after a commanding win in its season opener against Sicily Island.
The Vikings defeated the Tigers 34-7 with help from senior quarterback Tristan Weatherly who passed for two touchdowns and ran for another in the win.
Block travels to Sicily Island at 7 p.m. Friday as both teams are looking for their first win.
Road games
Ferriday (0-1) takes on LHSAA Class 4A Franklin Parish at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Trojans fell to Alexandria High last week by one point, 15-14.
Delta Charter (0-1) travels to Lincoln Prep at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Storm is coming off a loss to Homer last week, 37-13.
