NATCHEZ — A narcotics bust at Days Inn landed four people in jail, including two who face separate charges for meth and prescription pills.
Natchez-Adams Metro Narcotics officers responded to a complaint at the motel and discovered that the room in question was in the name of 41-year-old Quentin Maurice Smith, who had drug warrants out for his arrest, Maj. Shane Daugherty said.
Inside the room, Daugherty said, were Smith, 28-year-old Jonathan Blake Seale, 26-year-old Lacye Michelle Starling and 19-year-old Stalania L. Smith. Blake was charged with having 3 grams of meth in his possession, while Stalania Smith and Starling face charges of possession of paraphernalia, Daugherty said.
“As soon as you opened the door, there was just needles and meth pipes everywhere,” Daugherty said.
Quentin Smith, who had outstanding warrants for the sale of schedule-II and schedule-III prescription drugs, was being held at the Adams County Jail on a $150,000 bond as of Saturday afternoon.
Seale was being held on a $50,000 bond, while Starling and Stalania Smith were held on a $500 bond as of Saturday afternoon.
Everyone except for Seale had been out on bond for previous crimes, Daugherty said.
