CROSBY — Services for Martha “Pat” Owens, 100, of Crosby, who died Thursday, June 14, 2108, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Union Baptist Church in Crosby with the Rev. Ernest Ford Sr. officiating.  

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home’s Natchez chapel and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Owens was born Feb. 13, 1918, in Wilkinson County, the daughter of George Washington and Eliza Jane Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Enoch Owens; two daughters, Marie Smith and Mary H. Owens; four brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Smith and Viola Granger and husband, Monroe; three sons, James Norman and wife, Hattie, and Louis J. Owens, all of Natchez, and Calvin Owens of Baton Rouge; one sister, Rosie M. Granger of Crosby; and a number of other relatives and friends.
