NATCHEZ — Today marks the grand opening of Natchez’s community swimming pool.

The pool, located at 352 Liberty Road next to the Adams County Safe Room, officially opens at 7 a.m. for lap swim, with family/open swim beginning at 11 a.m.

Open swim lasts from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 6 p.m. The pool will close for an hour between those time slots.

The pool’s individual rate is $5 and $35 for a membership, while family memberships are $65. Those who cannot afford these membership fees could qualify for up to a 50-percent discount off the original price.
