The Missionary Ministry of Zion Hill #1 Baptist Church will celebrate its 26th Good Friday program on Friday.

Good Friday is the day when Christians commemorate Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, the act that brought on salvation to all who believe.

The missionary ministry has been planning for this religious holiday for months. They have selected a marvelous group of ministers for their Good Friday programs.

The Zion Hill family along with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett and the first lady welcome their friends and family in the Miss-Lou to join them for the occasion.

Speakers will be the Rev. Troy Thomas, the Rev. Leroy Smith, the Rev. James Lee, the Rev. Leon Dixson, the Rev. Leroy White, the Rev. Melvin White and the Rev. Pickett. Their topic will be the last seven sayings, starting with “Father forgive them” and ending with “Father into thy hands I commit my spirit.”

Good Friday is a holy day observed by Christian communities commemorating the crucifixion of Christ.

This invitation is extended to all churches, clubs and organizations to join us 10 a.m. Friday at the church at 394 Lower Woodville Road, Natchez.
