Cathedral tops Delta Charter in Monday tennis matchup, 7-2

Cathedral School’s tennis team defeated Delta Charter Monday at the Vidalia Recreational Complex, 7-2.

The Green Wave notched wins in all matches expect for No. 1 and No. 2 boys singles.

Hayden McFarland defeated Cathedral’s Rankin Reynolds in No. 1 boys singles on a tiebreaker, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0. Thomas Geoghegan notched the second win for the Storm in No. 2 boys singles over Grayson Gudeon, 6-4, 6-1.

Aiden Whitaker and Harris Pyron edged out a close victory in No. 1 boys doubles over Delta Charter’s Jonathan Burr and Braxton Hall on a tiebreaker, 3-6, 7-5, 1-0.

Lessley Dooley and Annalyce Riley cruised to wins in No. 1 and No. 2 girls singles, respectively, as they swept Bella Dawkins and Haileigh White in their matches, 6-0, 6-0.

Cathedral took another smooth win in No. 2 boys doubles as Chase Brooks and Hartley Pyron defeated Milt Neal and Aiden Cupid, 6-1, 6-0.

Taylor Lessley and Caroline Kaiser defeated Emily Smith anf Lara Booth for another win for the Green Wave, 6-2, 6-0.

Caroline Guedon and Huddy Lees also won for Cathedral as they defeated Mogan Lancaster and Heather Tillman, 6-4, 6-3.

Finally, JD Fraiser and CeCe McKinney defeated Delta Charter’s Milt Neal and Haleigh White, 6-3, 6-1.
