NATCHEZ — An Adams County man was arrested Tuesday on an indictment stemming from a 2017 incident where deputies allegedly seized $91,000 in medical-grade marijuana from his vehicle.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Lt. Cal Green said Phuong Dinh Tran, 34, turned himself in.
Tran was arrested in April 2017 as part of a joint investigation between the sheriff’s office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Tran was reportedly leaving a Pecan Way residence in a motor vehicle when agents stopped him and discovered 10 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. He was charged with trafficking a schedule I drug in a church zone.
After turning himself in Tuesday, Tran was released on the $100,000 bond that had previously been posted.
