NATCHEZ — Law enforcement officers Friday made a fifth arrest in connection to the Jan. 26 shooting death of a 48-year-old county man, though no context for the arrest has been released.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Shaun Michael Latham, 34, on a charge of accessory after the fact to murder.

“Investigators are not releasing details at this time but said they have sufficient evidence to charge Latham with this crime,” the sheriff’s office reported.

Four others have faced the same charge for allegedly withholding information from investigators regarding the alleged murder of Johnny Martin, who deputies found lying in the front yard of his friend’s residence on Woodman Road with at least one fatal gunshot wound to the chest.

Isaac Garner, 29, 1388 Wildwood Springs Road, Roxie, wanted by the sheriff’s office for murder, remained at large as of Friday evening.
