Winter weather causes canceled games Friday night

Friday morning’s snowfall in the Miss-Lou caused many schools in the area to cancel sporting events to ensure the safety of traveling teams.
Adams County Christian School, Cathedral School, Ferriday High, Natchez High, Vidalia High, Jefferson County High School and Centreville Academy all canceled basketball games Friday night.
Natchez High also canceled its varsity girls and boys soccer games Friday night.
Additionally, ACCS canceled its basketball games scheduled for today against Leake Academy in Natchez, with no intention for a rescheduled date.
Cathedral’s basketball games beginning at noon today at WCCA are to be played as scheduled.
ACCS, Cathedral, Ferriday, Natchez, Vidalia and Jefferson County all have intentions of rescheduling its canceled basketball games from Friday.
The Rebels were set to travel to Copiah Academy for junior varsity and varsity games. Cathedral was set to travel to Amite School Center for junior varsity and varsity games. Ferriday was scheduled to play at Natchez for three games. Vidalia was set to host Tensas High for varsity games only, and Jefferson County was scheduled to host Jefferson Davis County for varsity games only.
Delta Charter School’s varsity basketball games at Epps and Sicily Island’s varsity basketball games Friday night at Franklin Parish were to be played as scheduled as of Friday afternoon.
Natchez High canceled soccer games are tentatively rescheduled for Jan. 8.
