Snowfall expected overnight

NATCHEZ — The National Weather Service is predicting up to an inch of snow in the area beginning overnight and lasting into late Friday morning.
A winter weather advisory will be in effect for Adams County from 9 p.m. tonight until noon Friday.
The NWS predicts that a mixture of light rain mixed with snow could begin around 3 a.m., with a transition to only snow likely. Temperatures are expected to bottom out in the low 30s overnight.
Meteorologists are predicting conditions that could make commutes to work and school hazardous.
The cold will persist into the weekend, with temperatures possibly dipping into the low 20s by Saturday, the NWS said.
Other nearby areas, such as Brookhaven, are under a winter weather warning with a potential for as much as 2 inches of snowfall.
