Merry Christmas!
The sights and sounds of the season are all around us!
In the midst of the many meaningful and fun activities on the calendar, First Baptist Church Natchez, invites you to “come and adore” Christ the Lord as we celebrate His birthday with a special musical presentation titled “Forever You’re My King,” at 6 p.m. on Sunday.
The Christmas story never grows old. Each year scenes of angels, shepherds and wise men worshipping the Holy Child bring back sweet memories from celebrations in the past and at the same time renew joy and hope because of God’s fulfilled promise.
This year First Baptist Church will present the familiar Christmas story through music and drama.
The orchestra will consist of members of the Jackson First Baptist Church orchestra and local instrumentalists Charlotte and Jim Franklin and Curt Smith.
Members of First Baptist Church’s praise band, Gary Caldwell, Byron Carnett, Morgan Ryan, Van O’Qwin, Floyd Eichelberger, Linda Heard and Judy Mason will also accompany the sanctuary choir.
First Baptist Church soloists, Brandae Miller, Jody Smith, Courtney Hicks, Daniel Guedon and Michelle Holmes, will be joined by Brittany Mitchell, Roberta Duhs and a men’s quartet as they lead special songs of praise.
The interpretation of some of the songs will be enhanced by the graceful movements of Concordia Parish Dance School students. The program will begin at 6 p.m. in the sanctuary.
Child care for infants through 3 years old is available.
