Come to Co-Lin family Christmas

Come join the Co-Lin Natchez family as we welcome in the Christmas season!
Everyone I talk with lately asks the same question, “Where has this year gone?”
I honestly do not know the answer. Here we are, less than a month away from Christmas, and we are all working feverishly to not work feverishly. I say that, because another thing I hear friends and acquaintances say is, “I want to slow down. I want life to slow down.” Often, the answer is to enjoy the simple pleasures. Stop rushing to find the perfect gift for that friend who has everything already. Stop worrying about which sides you will serve for Christmas dinner and which relatives you need to seat in separate rooms!
Enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of Christmas. Our downtown is lovely this time of year. So is the Copiah-Lincoln Community College Natchez Campus. The elves have been decorating, cooking and planning to host our community at our annual Christmas Open House on Dec. 5, from 5:30-7 p.m. Each year we host this event for all to enjoy. Santa will be here taking pictures with the children, at no charge. There will be games and activities for the little ones and yummy treats as well. Children can make reindeer food, Christmas ornaments and write their letters to Santa. This family event is sure to put smiles on the faces of the young and the young-at-heart.
This is our gift to our community, and we would love to share this Christmas with you and your family. So on behalf of Santa and his elves, please join us at 5:30 on Dec. 5, 2017. Bring the children, kick back, relax and enjoy one of life’s simple pleasures with us. As always, I would like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Co-Lin Family, to wish you all the joy that this season has to offer.
Teresa Busby is the Vice President of Co-Lin’s Natchez Campus.
