ROLLING FORK (AP) — Officials say a father and son have died following a shooting that shut down all lanes of traffic on a Mississippi highway.
Sharkey County Coroner Angela Eason says the bodies of 47-year-old Alex Jennings Sr. and 26-year-old Alex Jennings Jr. were found shot to death in a car on Mississippi 16.
News outlets report they were shot several times in Rolling Fork on Monday. Their bodies were taken to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
Officials told The Clarion-Ledger that another person was shot and taken to a hospital. Further details on the third victim have not been released.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation says a person of interest is in custody, but that person has not been charged.
