An MHSAA Region 7-3A football game originally scheduled for Friday night has been pushed back once more to 3 p.m. today at Jefferson County.
The Tigers were set to play at 1 p.m. Saturday but rescheduled its matchup with Franklin County again after complications because of a power outage that struck Fayette and surrounding areas Friday afternoon.
Jefferson County football coach James Herrington said though the outage ended Saturday afternoon, the school was still having difficulties getting everything back in place.
“We tried it again, but still no luck,” Herrington said. “We came to a consensus and put our heads together. We decide this might be the best time.”
Despite the disruption, Herrington tried to make the best out of the situation.
“Most of our players will not play professionally and most of our coaches will not coach professionally, but they will still get to say they got to play in a game on Sunday,” he said.
