NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies said Thursday they have a person of interest in connection with an alleged armed robbery that happened Tuesday on LaGrange Road.
Chief Deputy Wayne Rabb said two individuals drove to LaGrange Road where they had previously arranged to sell an iPhone 6 to a person for $100.
However, when they arrived, a man in a white T-shirt and blue jeans who approached the car pulled a handgun and demanded they give him the cell phone, Rabb said.
Rabb said the two individuals, one of them 16 years old, complied and then drove off. Rabb said they did not report the theft until Wednesday.
Rabb said the two individuals did not say how they set up the arrangements to meet the man on LaGrange Road, but that they had been expecting an individual to walk up to their vehicle.
Rabb would not name the person of interest. Rabb said the case is still under investigation.
Those with information about this incident are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 911.
