St. Joseph — A Tensas Parish woman is hosting a fish fry today to raise funds to hire a private investigator and attorney in hopes she can find answers about her son’s disappearance.
St. Joseph resident Sarah Miles said her son, Richardo Miles, 29, went missing on June 2. Miles said on her way to work, she dropped her son, her mother and her 8-year-old grandson off at the boat landing at Newellton so they could spend the day fishing.
Miles said when she came to pick them up after work, Richardo Miles was missing.
Miles said during the day, Richardo Miles left with a man who Miles said her son had previously threatened the son.
Miles said she has not heard a word from her son since.
“I have no answers,” she said. “My son has been missing since June the second.
“People don’t just come up missing in Tensas Parish. It is really small.”
The fish fry is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at 206 Shady Oak Drive, St. Joseph, La. Plates are $8.
