Trinity Episcopal (1-2) aims to even its record this season at 7 p.m. Friday at Canton Academy.
After a 41-13 loss to Cathedral last week, Trinity coach Graham Roberts said this week will be just as difficult.
“Its going to be a tough one for sure,” he said. “They have 49 kids on their roster, and won (MAIS Class AA) state last year.”
Roberts said for his squad to stay focused, its important to stay ahead.
“My guys have done a really good job staying positive,” he said. “There is not a guy on my roster that likes losing. I personally hate losing more than I like winning. To be 2-2, that’s what we are shooting for from a moral estandpoint. We want all we can get and hopefully we can build on it.”
While the Saints have dropped its past two games, Roberts said he has still seen some positive things.
Trinity trailed by just one possession late in the third quarter of last week’s game.
“I don’t feel like we every quit,” he said. “Even as (Cathedral) scored one late, we fought the whole way through. I don’t feel like there has been anybody that has broken our will. That’s all I have asked of them — compete until the very last whistle blows.”
