Austin Fontanella and Trent Fontanella begin to paddle off away from Natchez and head to Baton Rouge before traveling towards New Orleans Wednesday in Natchez. The two started in Minnesota and took 63 days to get to Natchez. Austin Fontanella said the two always wanted to do a trip and have an adventure together. He said last year they lost their cousin, Krista Ronai, to a 7-year battle of brain cancer. “We’re doing this in her honor in her memory, and we’re trying to raise money, we’ve surpassed our goal already which is awesome but you can still donate,” Austin Fontanella said. Given that the Mississippi River is about 2,320 miles long, Austin Fontanella and Trent Fontanella set their goal to raise 2,320 dollars for the Cancer Research Institute.
