Trinity, Yarbrough slip past Amite School Center

Sterling Yarbrough scored 4-yard touchdown run with six seconds left and Trinity Episcopal outlasted Amite School Center 22-14 Friday night in each team’s season opener.
The Saints scored the final 16 points Friday to erase what was a 14-6 halftime deficit.
Cedric Daniels registered a 3-yard scoring in the first quarter to tie the score, 6-6.
Daniels finished with more than 100 yards rushing in the game.
Yarbrough also added more than 100 yards rushing in the win.
Jakarius Caston then tied the game again with a 37-yard scoring run in the final minute of the third, swinging momentum on Trinity’s side heading the final period.
The Saints tallied 398 total yards for the game compared ASC’s 177. Trinity ran for 341 yards in the game.
The Saints will attempt to keep the momentum going next when they host Brookhaven Academy.
