NATCHEZ — Three suspects are in custody for an alleged armed robbery that occurred June 25 at the Jack Mart retail store on Lower Woodville Road.
Natchez police reported Austin Tyler Crawford, 18, 25 Cloverdale Drive, Austin Hammers, 17, 1225 Peach Street, Vidalia, and Derrick Coleman, 18, 320 Plouden Bayou Road, Monterey, were all being held Monday as suspects for the alleged robbery.
The report said an “undisclosed amount of money was stolen” from the store. The report also said two suspects were traced back to residences in the Vidalia area, while one was traced back to the Cloverdale area.
Natchez police arrested Crawford Saturday for the incident, while Vidalia police arrested Coleman Saturday and the Concordia Parish sheriff’s deputies booked Hammers Sunday.
Natchez Police Capt. Scott Frye said Coleman had been extradited and jailed in Natchez City Jail and Hammers was being held in the Concordia Parish Jail Monday awaiting extradition to Mississippi.
Law enforcement officials apprehended the suspects, police reported, through a joint effort between the aforementioned departments as well as the Adams County Sheriff’s Office and the Concordia Parish Narcotics Task Force.
Police report the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.
Frye said he could not divulge any additional information while the investigation is ongoing.
