NATCHEZ — The accounting firm of Silas Simmons, LLP is pleased to announce that Matt Pearson has joined their professional staff.

Pearson is a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where he earned bachelor of accountancy and bachelor of business administration degrees in 2010 and 2005, respectively.  While at Ole Miss he was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the accounting honorary organization.

Prior to joining Silas Simmons, Pearson spent several years with global accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in their Baltimore, Md., and Dallas offices.  He is a licensed CPA in Mississippi and Texas.

Pearson is the son of Ashton and Kathy Pearson of Oxford, and the grandson of Willie Lee Pearson, formerly of Natchez, and the late Willie Carol Pearson.  He is engaged to Hilary Calametti of Mobile, Ala.
