Home with Heroes tournament on the horizon

The Fourth Annual Robert “Bob” Mims Miss-Lou Patriotic Golf Tournament will be Saturday, June 24, at Duncan Park Golf Club. All proceeds will benefit area veterans and their families. The tournament is sponsored by the non-profit organization Home With Heroes Foundation Inc. of the Miss-Lou.
“Home With Heroes Foundation has created the first and only tournament to raise money to help our area veterans and their loved ones,” said G. Mark LaFrancis, Home With Heroes president. “We are seeking teams, players, sponsors and prize donations.”
There will be corporate team prizes and team prizes, as well as on-course prizes, including the opportunity to win two new vehicles, golf clubs, a vacation and other prizes. Great River Nissan is sponsoring the hole-in-one prize packages. There will be morning refreshments and lunch, along with door prizes and auction items.
Corporate team is $400; player hole is $125; player is $75; sign sponsor is $75. Door prizes and monetary donations are being received as well.
The tournament is a four-person scramble, shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Morning refreshments and lunch will be provided as well as on-course beverages and snacks.
Proceeds remain in the Miss-Lou and help fund a wide range of programs for veterans and their loved ones, including: Veterans Renewal Retreat; World War II Museum Honor Rides for World War II veterans; Helping Hands for Veterans Project; emergency aid; gift packages for men and women serving overseas; and much more.
Home With Heroes Foundation is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Natchez.
