Woman reportedly robbed at gunpoint on St. Catherine Street

NATCHEZ — Police are searching for a man who reportedly robbed a woman at gunpoint early Tuesday morning on St. Catherine Street.
Natchez Police Department Lt. Julius Steele said the victim reported she was leaving her residence at Cedars Apartments at approximately 2:45 a.m. when she was approached by a man who pointed a gun at her and demanded money.
Steele said the woman told the gunman she only had $3 she was going to use to buy ice, and the man accused her of lying, took her purse, emptied its contents, took the money and fled.
