Natchez High School quarterback Chris Scott is re-opening his recruitment.
The 6-foot-4 rising senior signal-caller announced on his Twitter page Thursday that he has decommitted from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
“I want to thank the (ULL) coaching staff for their hospitality and continued interest in the past few years,” Scott wrote. “ULL is still the top on my list, but as of now my recruitment has opened back up.”
Scott, a three-star prospect by recruiting service 247sports and the No. 12 player in the state of Mississippi for the 2018 class, had been committed to the Ragin’ Cajuns since October. Scott also holds scholarship offers from the University of Southern Mississippi and Jackson State.
Scott appeared in 10 games last year for Natchez, throwing for 1,690 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Natchez began spring football practice April 25 and will host McComb for a spring exhibition at 2 p.m. May 13.
