Roxie man arrested for allegedly assaulting his father

NATCHEZ — A Roxie man was arrested Monday allegedly for punching his father so violently several bones in the victim’s face were broken.
Jerry Almer Brown Jr., 32, was charged Tuesday on a warrant for aggravated assault after previously being charged Monday with a parole violation.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports list sometime between 4:30 to 5 p.m. Brown arrived at a North Swan Court residence after a trip to a grocery story and he allegedly became irate soon after.The victim was asking Brown about the groceries that had been purchased, and Brown reportedly punched his father in his left eye and then continued to punch him with a closed fist. Brown eventually left the residence after the victim’s wife attempted to break the attack up.
The 64-year-old victim was transported by ambulance to Merit Health Natchez where physicians discovered numerous bones were broken in his face following an MRI, the sheriff’s office reported.
The victim sustained a fractured nose. The victim’s orbital bones, eye socket and numerous other bones were also broken surrounding his left eye,
The victim was transported to University Medical Center in Jackson.
The victim is expected to fully recover.
Brown was in the Adams County Jail Wednesday evening with no bond set.
