Cathedral High School girls golf team nets third place finish

The Cathedral High School girls golf team tallied a third-place finish at the MAIS Overall Girls State Tournament Wednesday at the Country Club of Jackson.

The Lady Green Wave registered a total score of 201, led by Kayla Starr’s score of 84.

The 84 gave the Cathedral freshman a third-place overall finish in individual scoring.

Liza Mayo shot a 117 for the Lady Green Wave, while Maggie Ulmer registered a 120.

Jackson Academy paced the team scoring with a total of 169.

Jackson Prep’s Blair Stockett won individual first place with a score of 67.
