Come enjoy magic of dinner theater at Jefferson Street

Have you ever noticed that springtime in Mississippi is really enchanted? Driving the Natchez Trace with its vibrant blooming flowers, trees waking up from their winter slumber and stretching their tender green leaves, and animals peeping out from the forest verge as if to remind us that fresh beginnings are around every corner can truly make you believe in magic.
Also magical is this year’s Jefferson Street United Methodist Youth dinner theater: “The Magician’s Nephew” by C.S. Lewis. This is the story of two children, Digory and Polly, who, with their Uncle Andrew, experience the adventure of a lifetime in the Wood between Worlds. Meeting up with the wicked queen Jadis, they find themselves traveling through many unexplored worlds before ending up in London where they find that Jadis is turning everything upside down. The solution to their problems involves a coachman, a horse and an untamed world that comes to be known as Narnia.
Like all of the Jefferson Street Youth dinner theater productions, The Magician’s Nephew is entirely performed by young actors. They have invested countless hours of their time into making this year’s show truly amazing! Some of Natchez’s best young talent is involved: Seth Blattner is Uncle Andrew, Anna Rodriguez plays Polly, Hayes Daly is Digory, Queen Jadis is played by Mary Evans Kelly and Colby Passman plays Aslan. Performances will be Wednesday, April 26, at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 27, at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29, at 6:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 30, at 12:30 p.m. Tickets are $17 for adults, $12 for youth, and $6 for children. Nursery will be provided. Dinner will consist of roasted pork loin, wild rice pilaf, sweet and sour green beans, hot roll and gooey apple cake for dessert. Tickets can be purchased through the church office at 601-442-3795 or you can purchase them at the door.
Take time this week to lose yourself in a magical adventure!
