Come be a part of Trinity Saints Fair

I love this time of year! Natchez is beautiful as the flowers bloom and residents open their houses and hearts during Spring Pilgrimage. We have had the opportunity to celebrate the season of Easter while focusing on the joy of life and prayer that brings us closer to God. Along with our community, Trinity Episcopal is experiencing the renewed energy associated with springtime.
Our new sign and recent $100,000 donation has set the tone for the transformation of our campus as we focus on the college preparatory curriculum that has long been synonymous with Trinity’s commitment to excellence. Specifically, Trinity is looking to other institutions that have become the gold standard for education and integrating all the innovative and unique opportunities available only to schools with small classroom settings. Being the only school in the area to earn the prestigious Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS) accreditation, we will continue to follow our plan for success through the following areas of concentration.
Trinity will integrate more technology. Progression through technology is a precedent we intend to follow for the next several years by putting computers into the hands of each child while ascending to a learning platform from which students will obtain homework, complete assignments and test online as they currently do on most college campuses. Trinity will focus on math, science and public speaking to allow students to compete on a national level with other schools in various tournaments, quiz bowls and Olympiads.
Trinity will focus on athletic scholars. We have a long history of championships in various team sports, and look forward to continuing that tradition of excellence. This year, archery was incorporated to allow fourth through twelfth grade to compete together as a team in a sport where individuals are recognized for their accomplishments. Muhammad Ali said that champions are made from something they have deep inside them- a desire, a dream, a vision. Only those that have the drive and passion to support our school while maintaining the necessary grades will be granted the opportunity to represent Trinity in any athletic arena.
Trinity will support our community. Recently, Trinity changed the name of its spring fundraiser from Mayfair to Saints Fair, which will take place this weekend. The theme is “Glowing with Saint Pride,” and will kick off with a field day on Friday, when Pre-K3 through twelfth grade students will be divided into a Red Team and Black Team to compete for points to claim the title of Saints Fair Champions. From 7 to 11 p.m. at the Trinity gymnasium, a casual, glow in the dark party will take place for adults only. Guests pay a $25 admission fee to visit our glow bar to make themselves glow in the dark while enjoying food, drink and music. A silent auction will be held until Rusty Jenkins kicks off the live auction to round out the event. Rain or shine, the festivities will continue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, on the bluff when the public is invited to enjoy food, vendors and inflatables as well as activities that focus on the importance of recycling and planting for Earth Day. Children may purchase an armband for $20 for admission to inflatables and participation in games. Moving the event to the bluff, inviting the public and supporting our local vendors is just one way Trinity will support the Natchez economy.
Change and renewal defines what is occurring at Trinity, and we encourage your family to come be a part of it.
