NATCHEZ — Be prepared to be wowed Saturday when more than 150 vintage European vehicles will be displayed on the Rosalie Bicentennial Gardens.
Participants at the second-annual Natchez Eurofest Classic Automobile and Motorcycle Show will show off vehicles from manufacturers such as Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Maserati and many more.
“The thing that you hear so much when people walk up to some of these cars is, ‘Wow! What am I looking at?’” Eurofest Director Mike Marsh said.
Marsh said specialty vehicles few people have seen in person would also be displayed.
Admission to the show is free to the public.
In just its second year, Eurofest has already received notice. Marsh said a prominent local business owner told him it was one of the “finest quality events” he had attended in the area.
Approximately 5,000 people visited last year’s show, Marsh said, and another big turnout is expected for the year’s edition.
“It has the potential to become the predominant European car show in the Southeastern part of the United States,” Marsh said.
The event will offer entertainment everyone can enjoy, he said. Visitors can have their pictures taken with the cars and motorcycles, enjoy live music, and enjoy hot dogs, polish sausages and other concessions.
The event will follow last year’s format with one exception. This year’s show will not feature an air display because of complications with Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
The air show will return for Eurofest 2018, Marsh said.
Eurofest will officially begin at 10 a.m., with the playing of the national anthem and conclude at 5 p.m. following an award ceremony.
