NATCHEZ — A Slidell, La., woman was arrested Saturday after her husband went to the emergency room with a gunshot wounds to the arm and chest.
Natchez Police Lt. Kenneth Stampley said Crystal Robinson, 31, 103 Riviera Drive, Slidell, was charged with aggravated assault domestic violence.
Stampley said officers responded to a call from Merit Health Natchez at 10 a.m. Saturday morning after Robinson’s husband was treated for a gunshot wound.
Police believe Robinson shot her husband once in the arm. The bullet left the victim’s upper arm and went into his chest, Stampley said.
The victim was airlifted to a Jackson hospital and is currently in stable condition, police reported.
Stampley said investigators are uncertain of the shooting’s details, including where the shooting occurred, because the suspect and victim have provided contradicting stories about the incident.
Stampley said he is unable to provide any other specifics because the investigation is ongoing.
Robinson was released from custody on a $100,000 bond.
