The Rev. J. W. Pickett is still going strong, preaching, teaching and singing after 30 years. His vision for his church is to empower his members to grow in their faith and realize that Jesus is the answer.
Celebrating a faithful servant of God in this vineyard with a 30-year record of meaningful service at Zion Hill No. 1 Baptist Church.
Pickett and First Lady Minerva Pickett have been faithful to their members and believe there is much work to be done. His members must be even bolder in witness of Jesus and the Holy Spirit must burn even brighter.
The deacon ministry praises his commitment and service to his congregation. He challenges them through spiritual and pastoral insight to work on their vision and work in their purpose.
Members are encouraged to be faithful to their church by attending Sunday school, church, Bible study and to love God and one another.
The committee has planned a dynamic program. Pastor Milton Coats and the choir from St. Francisville, La., the Natchez High School choir along with soloists from the Miss-Lou will join this great event.
We are inviting the general public to join us at 4 p.m. Saturday at this extrvaganza.
The Picketts are the parents of three beautiful daughters and six grandchildren.
