Ferriday Police Department Investigator Richard Madison said at approximately 6 a.m., police received a call that an alarm had been activated for a Florida Avenue residence.

Madison said officers made entry through the front door and allegedly found Kelly hiding in the house.

Madison said Kelly entered the house through the back window.

Madison said this is the second time the Florida Avenue house has been broken into in the past year. The earlier break-in is still under investigation.

Kelly used to mow the man’s yard, Madison said.

Kelly was in the Concordia Parish Jail Friday afternoon on an $18,000 bond.
