Man shot 3 times on Steamplant Road Tuesday night

Natchez — An Adams County man was shot three times Tuesday night at his Steamplant Road residence after reportedly arriving home to find approximately six individuals in ski masks waiting to attack him.
Adams County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Jerry Brown said the 37-year-old victim arrived at approximately 10:30 p.m. to his residence in the 200 block of Steamplant Road.
After the victim arrived, Brown said, six individuals in ski masks and camouflage clothing came from behind his house and reportedly started shooting at him.
The victim was shot once in the abdomen and twice in the leg and drove himself to the hospital, Brown said.
The victim was later airlifted to a Jackson hospital for further treatment. Brown said the victim’s injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.
Deputies recovered approximately 12 to 13 shell casings from the scene, Brown said.
No arrests have been made, and deputies have not yet determined a motive for the shooting.
