Parish shooting suspects apprehended

FERRIDAY — Two suspects in a Wednesday night shooting in Concordia Parish near West Ferriday were arrested Friday in Claiborne County.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick said Friday, with the assistance of the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Earl O’Quinn Jr., 28, and Fereedah Sabir, 24, were apprehended at approximately 1 a.m.
The two were booked into the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Jail at approximately 1 p.m. O’Quinn, 115 Margaret Circle, Clayton, was charged with attempted second-degree murder and Sabir, 113 Margaret Circle, Clayton, was charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery.
The sheriff’s office traced Sabir’s phone and discovered it was located in Mississippi, Hedrick said. From that information, he said deputies were able to track O’Quinn and Sabir to Claiborne County.
Hedrick said O’Quinn and Sabir were apprehended without incident.
“I want to thank all of the personnel at the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office and investigators John Cowan and Phillip Smith for going above and beyond in making this arrest so quickly,” Hedrick said.”
