NATCHEZ — Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for two men who reportedly fired shots Monday afternoon near a Liberty Road residence.
ACSO Maj. Jerry Brown said a Liberty Road resident reported that after hearing his dog barking outside, he spotted two men near the dog, which was chained outside his house.
“He thought they were trying to steal his dog, and then they ran off,” Brown said.
A few minutes later, the men returned in a newer model red Cadillac car and reportedly fired two or three shots as they drove past, Brown said.
No one was injured in the shooting, Brown said.
Deputies have not determined whether the men fired in the air or toward the residence.
The suspects are described as one white man and one black man.
Anyone with information about the shooting should contact ACSO at 601-442-2752.
