Supporters of the pro-life movement in Natchez and the region gathered at the Grand Hotel in Natchez for a memorial service marking the 43rd anniversary of  the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Roe V. Wade, which said that a woman’s decision to have an abortion was protected under the U.S. Constitution. Those in attendance said prayers for the end of legalized abortion in the country.

The group then took white carnations and placed them on the display of crosses on the bluff. Each cross in the display of 110 crosses marks one abortion that is performed each hour in the United States.
