NATCHEZ — After recovering three-fourths of a pound of marijuana and Xanax, Adams County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Morgantown man Wednesday.

Llewellyn Letcher Jr., 30, 198 Morgantown Road, was charged with possession of schedule I drugs with intent to distribute, possession of schedule IV drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and introduction of contraband into jail.

Sheriff Travis Patten said deputies with the office’s special operations team executed a search warrant at Letcher’s residence Wednesday afternoon and reportedly recovered the drugs, as well as an unspecified amount of money.

During the booking process, Patten said deputies allegedly found hydrocodone pills on Letcher.

Due to an ongoing investigation, Patten said Thursday he would not release more information.
