Come to annual Co-Lin Christmas
Published 12:18 am Sunday, December 4, 2016
‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through Co-Lin
All the creatures were stirring, saying here we go again!
The students were studying for their final exams
The faculty were praying, Lord let them be little lambs
The Christmas trees were up, in the halls and the lobbies
The lights were flickering and the staff had the jollies
It’s time for our annual Christmas at Co-Lin
So let’s bake some cookies and invite all our friends!
Santa and Mrs. Claus and some of their Elves
Will be on hand and sitting on shelves
There will be games for the children, and cookies and punch
Trust us, the kids will have fun by the bunch!
The kids can make reindeer food, oh how yummy!
and have pictures with Santa, just watch out for his tummy!
So smile for the camera and come out to play
Christmas at Co-Lin — what a great end to the day.
Please join us for our annual Christmas at Co-Lin event from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Nelson Multi-purpose room located in our Career and Technical Education Building. Light snacks will be provided, and every child will have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Santa. There is no charge — it is our gift to you. This is simply a way for us to say thank you to our community.
Mrs. Claus is joining Santa on his trip from the North Pole, and we might even spot an elf or two. There will be several fun stations for the children to visit. They can make reindeer food, Christmas ornaments, write a letter to the Jolly Old Man, or make a sweet keepsake to take home. It is always so much fun to see the children’s faces light up during this very special time of the year!
Merry Christmas from our Co-Lin Natchez family to yours! We look forward to seeing you.
Teresa Busby is Vice President of Co-Lin’s Natchez Campus.
