NATCHEZ — The Natchez Tricentennial Heritage Holiday Parade has been rescheduled for Friday, Dec. 9.

Originally set for today, organizers rescheduled the parade because of rain in the forecast for today.

“We want to make sure the Christmas parade, which is a wonderful long-standing tradition that requires a great deal of work, happened this year, so we thought it best to reschedule the parade so it could happen at a later date,” Tricentennial Liaison Kelin Hendricks said.

The parade was rescheduled to next Friday instead of next Saturday because of a number of events already scheduled for Saturday with which organizers did not want to interfere, Hendricks said.

“We, unfortunately, had to reschedule the parade to a weekday, but we hope everyone will join us Friday to celebrate the tricentennial with the Christmas parade,” Hendricks said.
