Adams County Sheriff's Office deputies Walter Mackel and William Tolliver practice self-defense techniques Thursday during an ACSO training session at the Natchez Performing Arts Center at Margaret Martin.

Severn demonstrates ground defensive tactics on Mackel. Severn is an UFC Hall of Fame inductee, the only Triple Crown Champion, and a two-time NWA champion. Severn now travels around the world conducting seminars, instructing law enforcement officers. The training session for sheriff’s deputies Thursday was sponsored by Magnolia Bluffs Casino and Hotel.
