When I was last in Jackson, my son-in-law took me to the Cock of the Walk. That idea was original to Natchez. When in Natchez, I enjoyed taking guests there to eat.

They were made to leave. One idea was to build restrooms. They could have turned the gift shop that was there into larger restrooms. Then, Alcorn was to move the farmers’ market there. Now, I hear another gift shop is planned.

I want the Cock of the Walk back in Natchez. If Natchez can’t see its value, maybe Vidalia could use the West Bank eatery building that closed to reopen the Cock of the Walk restaurant.
