Elizabeth Smith struck out 12 Simpson Academy batters in a complete-game performance as the Cathedral Lady Green Wave beat the Lady Cougars 7-3.

Smith pitched five shutout innings before giving up three runs in the top of the sixth.

The Lady Green Wave scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning and four runs in bottom of the fifth. Lauren Dunbar went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, and Allie Feltus was 2-for-3 with a double.

Cathedral (5-5, 3-2) plays at 5:30 p.m. today at home against ACCS.
