Cathedral High School softball picked up a statement win on the road against Brookhaven Academy Thursday night.

The Lady Green Wave won 14-3 in five innings with six Cathedral players batting in runs.

Cathedral took an early 3-0 lead over Brookhaven in the top of the first inning. Cathedral opened up a 10-0 lead in the top of the fourth. Brookhaven battled back with three runs in the bottom half of the inning, but Cathedral added four runs in the top of the fifth inning.

Elizabeth Smith allowed four hits and struck out five over five innings, and also launched a home run to go along with five RBI. Marty Lewis was 1-for-2 with four RBI and Allie Feltus added two RBI, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.
