NATCHEZ — A Vidalia man was arrested Monday on allegations he was part of a crowd of teenagers that helped destroy a woman’s vehicle.
Blain Briggs, 18, 1222 Apple St., Vidalia, was booked at the Adams County Jail on a charge of felony malicious mischief Monday.
A report at the Adams County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to a report of a wreck on U.S. 61 North on April 16.
When the deputy arrived, however, the victim told him that the wreck was in fact the result of several people overturning her Toyota Camry.
The victim told the deputy she was at a gathering at the U.S. 61 site when she was informed by others there that her vehicle had been overturned, but she did not know who would have done it and she was not a part of any disagreements with anyone.
Witnesses at the scene identified a group of young men who possibly turned the vehicle over, including Briggs and three others, including two 16-year-old juveniles, the report said.
The other suspects have not yet been charged.
Briggs was released Monday afternoon on a $10,000 bond.
