NATCHEZ — A Natchez man died following a single-vehicle crash in Catahoula Parish Thursday.

Allen A. Kennon, 68, was driving a 2007 Mazda pickup eastbound on Louisiana 124 when Kennon apparently lost control of the vehicle, which left the right side of the roadway and overturned, a Louisiana State Police spokesman said in a news release.

Kennon, who was not wearing a seat belt in the crash, was ejected from the vehicle.

Louisiana State troopers responded to the scene on the highway — which was near the Diversion Canal Levee Road — at approximately 1:20 p.m.

He was transported to Rapides Regional Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The matter remains under investigation.
