Your piece, published on Monday, July 4, on the homeless guys the other day was the work of junior-high journalism. It was pathetic.

You didn’t do any leg work or interviewing of the many people that pass and try to help these dogs and gentlemen daily. You glorified what they do as if they have all this wisdom. Well they did have wisdom on you.

We tried to feed the dog and man one evening with the offer of a paid campsite for them. What did we get? The next day we went to the bluff and cleaned up all the trash they left.

Why? Because it was the stuff we gave them thrown all over. So we felt responsible.

I stumbled on your piece while looking for something else and just confirmed my wisdom of not subscribing to your paper.
