RIDGECREST — The man accused in a serious stabbing earlier this week has been arrested.
Jalen J. Williams, 23, 3575 Levens Addition Road, Ferriday, was booked into the Concordia Parish Jail on charges of attempted second-degree murder Saturday.
No bond was set at the time of his booking.
Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office officials said Williams allegedly stabbed a man in the neck during a confrontation on Calhoun Road near Ridgecrest at approximately 4:25 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The escalation of the fight had followed a prior domestic disturbance, officials said.
The victim had to be airlifted to Rapides Regional Medical Center for treatment following the stabbing, but was able to survive his wounds.
