RIDGECREST — The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for a Ridgecrest man wanted on charges of attempted second-degree murder.

Jalen J. Williams, 23, 3575 Levens Addition Road, is alleged to have stabbed a man in the neck during a confrontation near Ridgecrest on Calhoun Road at approximately 4:25 p.m. Thursday following a domestic situation, said Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy David Hedrick.

Hedrick said deputies searched a few houses in the area looking for Williams, but he reportedly fled in a vehicle with a woman.

The victim was airlifted to Rapides Regional Medical Center from Riverland Medical Center. His condition was not known.
