NATCHEZ — A Sicily Island barber was found shot to death at his business Monday night.

Catahoula Parish Sheriff James Kelly said multiple assailants apparently killed George Harris, 43, at a house on Second Street where he was operating a hair-cutting business.

Kelly said Harris still had personal items in his possession when he was found, indicating the shooting was not related to a robbery.

No arrests have been made, Kelly said, but the sheriff’s office has identified several persons of interest.

“We encourage anyone with any information to come forward,” Kelly said.
