NATCHEZ — A second man was arrested Thursday in connection to the armed robbery Monday night on Caddo Street.
Anthony Thompson, 33, 212 Country Club Drive, allegedly led three Natchez Police officers on a chase Thursday morning after running a stop sign and refusing to pull over.
Thompson was charged with disobeying a traffic device, driving with a suspended or revoked license, failure to yield to police, expired tag, a controlled substance violation and two charges of armed robbery.
Natchez Police Chief Daniel White said the alleged victim and her boyfriend identified Thompson by name after the robbery occurred.
Thompson is the second arrest of three people the alleged victim identified from the incident, White said.
“We’re still looking for one more,” White said. “We know three that she identified, three that really did the robbery.”
In the police report, the alleged victim said five men approached her outside her friend’s residence on Caddo Street. One man demanded her purse and money, and two others struck her in the face with firearms.
The other two of the five men, White said, do not have warrants out for their arrest at this time.
Frederick L. Hunt Jr., 22, who lives at 208 Choctaw St., was charged Tuesday with a controlled substance violation, aggravated assault and three charges of armed robbery.
